Message from Bob Rogers that fellow committee member from Royal Naval Paul Taylor sadly passed away. We all send our condolences to his family and friends and fellow plotholders.

SECRETARYS REPORT

            *All site committees are commended for their support of their plotholders during the pandemic. Despite difficulties, we all hope to move forward with the positive legacy of the benefits of community gardening to our health and well being.

            *Attention drawn to GROW TO GIVE notice (previously distributed) and sites recommended to support their local food schemes

AWARDS EVENT

It was agreed this was a much loved event. It was suggested a sub-committee meets at end of summer to arrange 2023 event.

Note-Sean will not be available to film- any volunteers?

VALUING VOLUNTEERS

Sites generally felt their imput was valued, but that more training would help and support their efforts.. online and in person.

Training requested for areas to include - confidentiality;officer responsibilities;first aid.

Suggested dates Feb/March 2023. Also induction packs to be available to give to new plotholders

CHAIRS REPORT

Thanks to all sites for the way they conducted themselves and for staying open during pandemic.

TREASURERS REPORT

*£1104 balance- healthy amount as had no awards event

*Levy reinstated for 2023-£1 per person/plot(no expenditure 20/21) 3 sites still owe previous levy. This is being chased, but no “legal” measures available to us as this is an agreed amount as part of belonging to LSMAA.

TENANCY AGREEMENT

No progress although LSMAA officers did meet twice to discuss this with Peter and feedback was collected from sites.

ALLOCATIONS

Frustration was expressed from sites as some are still awaiting names from peter after many months.

Peter to action as no.1 priority- peter explained he has many demands on his time, and has allocated 100 people to sites.

He has issues around sorting GDPR.

He now has additional admin support which the meeting was appreciative of. ISSUE TO BE FORWARDED TO NEXT AGM 2023.- peter to pass comments on.

LEWISHAMS PROSPECTIVE-Peter Maynard

            *thanks to all sites for their hard work during the recent pandemic.

            *vacancies will be top priority

            *Rents- in process of being completed to send to sites. Please ensure full information is returned as requested.

            *GDPR- sites will be contacted about updates.

            *CONSTITUTION- we have a model from national allotment association, there will be LSMAA consultation, our legal department will then be checking anything proposed, and it will then be sent to sites.

            *Support from peter is always available, however busy he is.

            *Kenneth White Greening fund- £83000 confirmed. This demonstrates council commitment to allotments. Peter will be contacting all sites that applied.

Thanks expessed to peter for his work on this and other business

            *open day- applications to be included must be made to peter as risk assessments ect will be needed. There were questions as to point of these when waiting lists are so long…
